Yahoo! Finance content provider Hoover's has reworked its website. It was first noticed probably somewhere between four and six weeks ago. At the time it was considered nothing more than an update to the site and not much attention other than that was paid. Then the site reverted back to the more familiar look. This same sort of happening was reported on about a Hotmail udpate back in September of 2002 as well, so it instantly rang familiar.

Now, the new look is back and we grabbed it. If you attempt to take a look for yourself and the new look is taken down again you can load our screen grab (so long as we're not asked to take it down too).

COMMENTARY: In our screen grab there are a few blocks of the webpage that appear empty. Our browser, Camino, was set to block ads and so the overall look seems rather stark. It's interesting to us how ingrained we have become to the bombardment of ads that a site can look "empty" without them.
