JobServe.com buys Computerwork.com

UK firm looking to place workers in US. Online IT job board Computerwork.com has been acquired by UK job board JobServe.com. Though not clearly qualified, JobServe.com claims to be the United Kingdom's dominant technology job board and the second largest such job board in Australia. And despite improving employment figures in the US, this move could be construed as JobServe looking to take advantage of what it sees as a lucrative market in North America. Acquisitions are nothing new for the company either. Computerwork.com is the second buyout of a foreign job board. The company absorbed Autralian firm JOBNET and JobServe USA Limited's headquarters are in Cleveland, Ohio. No details of the takeover were given. © 2006 Kaomso
