Kaomso came online in late 2000 as a venture into information technology offering software and networking services to both home and business customers. The first incarnation of Kaomso included a pseudo-weblog collection of articles comprised of commentary, rants, rudimentary reviews, and "sort of" news posts.

Eventually, the focus of the founder began to change and less and less time was spent updating the site's content. It became stale and irrelevant. The hosting service was faded out with the last thrid-party sites to be migrated in the first part of 2009. The emphasis had become strictly software development.

The new direction of Kaomso meant that the website needed to be re-worked as well. The articles are now gone in favor of moving towards a range of online services the first of which is the telephone carrier look-up service. As the new Kaomso takes shape the Kaomso site will continue to evolve as well, all the while providing a clean, easy-to-use interface.
